“[Ben] has changed not just my life, but my entire family’s as well.”

I am a 55-year-old male, and have struggled with mental issues and chronic depression for my entire life. I have had several great counselors thru the years, but I just never seemed to "break through" with what was wrong. After my last major season in my life, I finally was able to give it all to God, and He connected me with Christian Counseling Services, and their staff put me in touch with Ben.

I was immediately connected to Ben's compassion, and his ability to allow me to fully open up. Within just a few sessions, Ben was able to allow myself to become completely vulnerable in his presence, and I was able to find both courage and strength.

Ben's incredible ability to connect my stories, thoughts and situations to biblical stories quickly comforted me. He was able to get me to open up on all the issues that I would not allow myself to do with the other counselors, and on a level, I never thought existed. Ben strengthened my ability to face my inner fears, and to begin truly understanding my thoughts, behaviors and traits.

His commitment to faith, and keeping the sessions faith based, brings a comfort and understanding that I have never experienced with any other counselor.

But Ben's greatest tool is his knowledge of the EMDR process, and how to navigate the memories and emotions that come with each session. Ben is an amazing counselor, an all-around great guy, and a true blessing in my life. I strongly recommend his services, it has changed not just my life, but my entire family’s as well.
